Mina transposed the second two numbers of my income on my 2020 federal tax return (e.g., instead of 123, she put 132). I received a CP2000 which imposed a $2,000 penalty (on top of back taxes). I reached out to Mina for help with the penalty (since it was her error, and I relied on her purported professional expertise in preparing the return). She didn't respond for over a week, and then - when she did finally respond - tried to claim that the W2 I gave her showed my income as "132." I told her that was not the case because the copy of the W2 stapled to the hard copy return that she provided to me showed my income as "123." She responded with an abrupt message that, since the income was incorrectly reported, I owed the IRS the back taxes. I told her that I already knew that but, again, wanted assistance with the penalty. All the while, the CP2000 deadline is fast approaching ..... a deadline that she is fully aware of because I expressly provided it in my correspondence to her, and it was included on the CP2000 copy that I sent to her. Needless to say, I received another message (one day before the deadline) that she "will see what she can do." She is the only tax professional who would not cover for her own mistake. I worked with a new tax professional for my 2021 taxes, and she said that, if it were her, she would have offered to pay the penalty. Indeed, this is a common practice when the tax preparer is the one who made a mistake. Avoid Mina at all costs!!!!!

Mina is not only an astute tax preparer with a comprehensive knowledge of the tax code, she is also a savvy business partner, always looking for ways to help her clients. I don't understand how anyone could write a negative review about her services. I have been going to Westside Income Tax for the past 4 years, and have had a positive experience each time. If there are any issues, Mina and her team are quick to resolve them, and are always a phone call away. Her new hires are also fantastic, including Alan and the front office. Finally, what strikes me most about Mina is her ability to simplify the complex. Although you could turn elsewhere or file your taxes yourself, I highly recommend Mina and her team if you're looking to leave no stone unturned and maximize your tax benefits.

I've been working with Mina for years and I couldn't recommend her more. I actually would call her "Tax & Business Services Coach" and I know from where I speak since I'm a professional Life & Health Coach that has been coaching for years. I have a lot of areas of my life together, but taxes definitely​ wasn't one of them. Actually, it was a mess and it was a little scary the idea of tackling it. I went through a very tough period including huge business and life changes and Mina and her team were their to support me in my tax and financial decisions. I was able to be completely vulnerable with how I felt about the process and Mina just walked me right through it. A lot of people who are entrepreneurs don't know that it's extremely important to have an Accountant that understands small business and home-based businesses. To the best of my knowledge,​ it's a specialization​​ and Mina definitely not only knows her stuff, but she will explain what your best options are and why​ staying well within the lines of what is legal and ethical. I recommend her to all my friends and colleagues. Also, her staff is amazing and friendly in their own right.

I'm so glad I found Mina over a year ago on Yelp. I was desperately needing help. As my life got busier, I was making mistakes and decided to turn it over to a professional. I've been very happy with how direct she is in handling business, and I've appreciated her invaluable advice for improving my financial status and organizing my documents.
