I am lucky to be working in a profession so well suited for me. I not only get to sell homes but I also can use my design talent in order to remodel homes and sell them for top dollar for my clients. I never know what each workday will bring but I always know it will be challenging yet exciting.

Owning a real estate company and managing a thriving business with my husband Barry always keeps me on my toes and exercises my brain on a constant basis. Basically the buck stops at me so I always need to have the right answer and know how to maneuver through tricky transactions and situations with my agents.

I have over 23 years of experience in managing people so I have learned many best practices over the years through trial and error. My management experience has helped me not only manage our agents but also manage clients. I understand each person is different so I always tailor my approach to the person and situation. I am like a chameleon. I try not to not judge people, I try to understand them…..although if they are off base or out of line I am not afraid to tell them. I am very upfront and honest.

How long have you called the Bay Area home?

20+ wonderful years.   I moved to the city of San Francisco from Sacramento and then after the birth of my son, we moved across the Golden Gate Bridge to Marin County.   

How long have you been a Realtor and what (real estate related) accomplishments are you most proud of?

I have been a Realtor in Marin County for more than 16 years.  I am proud to not only own and manage Bay Area Modern Real Estate (and our family of related real estate companies serving the Bay Area and Amador County) with my husband but also to consistently be in the top 1% of Realtors in Marin County for my personal sales.  Additionally, my accomplishments include:

I am also a longtime member of the Top Agent Network in Marin County as well as a member of other exclusive real estate groups for top tier agents in the area. I live and breathe real estate and could not think of anything I would rather do for a profession.

Sell us.  Why Marin County?

Marin County is a majestic location. It never ceases to take my breath away as I drive over the Golden Gate Bridge and see the stunning lush rolling green mountains, the water, beautiful homes, and smell the fresh clean air. No matter where in the world I have just been, there is no place more beautiful than Marin in my opinion.

Give it up.  Where is your favorite secret (or not so secret) destination in Marin County?

Ok I will give it up if you promise not to tell anyone! My favorite place in Marin is on the patio of the Panama Hotel in San Rafael having lunch with a friend. It is such a special place and the food is fantastic. There is nothing better than hanging out with a friend on a warm summer day enjoying a good meal and a cold glass of wine.

Free time…what is free time (just kidding)? I do love to travel the world with my family. My children are amazing travelers and enjoy seeing new cultures and places just as much as my husband and I do.

We have worked with Renee Adelmann (owner of Marin Modern) twice, once when purchasing our house and then selling the house when we were relocated. She is wonderful, I can't say enough about her. First off, she is truly client oriented. She works tirelessly for you, both as a seller and as a buyer, and always does so cheerfully. Second, she really knows the market - if you are buying or selling a mid century home in Marin, she is the one to go to. Of course, she knows other properties too, but her expertise in this niche market is what really makes her shine. Third, she is a genuinely nice person, easy to get along with and fun to be around.
