Recovery Awareness Foundation Incorporated

Through our involvement in various civic and community groups,  The Recovery Awareness Foundation is working to educate the public about Addiction and Recovery. Addicts in recovery are your neighbors, your coworkers, and sometimes your family. Those in long term recovery have become productive, contributing members of Society. Through our involvement with community coalitions, we participate in forums and workshops in area schools, talking to students about the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse. If we can stop one child from experimenting with drugs and alcohol, that’s one less suffering addict.

This week I had a friend who was ready to go get help with his addiction. Recovery Awareness Foundation was able to help with some of the costs associated with getting him into treatment. This was a huge service which allowed the person to go get the help they needed. I am especially grateful for this foundation because they are truly passionate and caring. I will continue to support them and their mission, knowing that they do the right things for the right reasons. Thank you Recovery Awareness Foundation!

I contacted RAF to help with Funding for my sons Recovery house. Without hesitation & within 1 day he was given the opportunity to start this new way of life! Thank You for giving my baby boy a chance to live! Such an awesome experience! Keep doing this amazing work & saving lives 1 day at a time!

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. - Helen Keller Recovery is a group effort or a community effort. Without foundations like this one, addicts looking for a chance at a new way of life, may not have a shot or the help needed. A huge thanks from the recovery house side! So I guess I’ll start off by just telling the story someone very close to me needed immediate help life is falling apart and they needed help immediately so through friends of recovery from Numbers that I got I found a good place out of state for this person to go everything was supposed to be good when we got there insurance said we needed a ridiculous co-pay even though they have amazing insurance getting ready to leave and except the situation as hopeless again and a friend offered to help with that co-pay and that friend is involved with this foundation and I am forever grateful to that person he knows who he is I can’t say enough of the miracle that happened thank you. That was the therapeutic value of one addict helping another for sure
