Tyler came out this morning to replace a light/fan/heater combo in my bathroom and he did an excellent job. He was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and completed the job in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this company and Tyler!

So, I’ve never been one to speak poorly of a business publicly. I normally don’t believe in it. But the experience Casey and I have had with a local business has been so unbelievable… I honestly feel a responsibility to share. As many of you know, we’ve been working to get The Sugar Bean up and running. During the build out, we needed quite a bit of electrical work done in the building. We started taking bids and landed on Kenny Strange Electric at the recommendation of our contractor. We had received some cheaper bids from other companies; but Kenny Strange quoted us a much faster turnaround, about a week to be exact. We had more money than time, so we went ahead with them. It’s worth noting, that the cheaper bid we had was only about two weeks… So the following Monday (November 14th) they were at the store getting started. Tuesday, no one was there. Wednesday, no one was there…. You see where this is going… Two weeks later, they tell us they’ll be finished by November 28th. Meanwhile, we can’t do anything else until they’re done with the electrical. So when we finally receive word they’re done, I show up the following Monday with a crew of guys ready to lay floors… guys who took off work. Guys who didn’t have to be there, but we’re helping me out. Y’all… LITERALLY nothing else had been done. Conduit was still hanging from the mounts. There was a three foot high pile of trash in the middle of the floor. They hadn’t even been back. OVER ONE MONTH later. We finally got the call that they were finished. You can imagine our excitement to get past this step. We make our way to the store the following day. Every single wall mounted light (there were only three) was loose and barely hanging onto the mount. More than 1/2 of our track lights didn’t even work. There was STILL open conduit hanging out of the wall. Not to mention the mountain of trash left behind (to be fair, we didn’t pay them for “cleanup” so whatever. I suppose I don’t mind cleaning up material, but I wasn’t expecting spit cups and burrito wrappers) We call them back. We explain that there is still wire hanging out of the wall and most of the lights don’t even work. They come back again and cut off the conduit, but don’t fix the lights. We call them back AGAIN. They still don’t fix the lights, only this time, they blame it on us. They literally said “we don’t know. We think it’s because you bought residential grade lights”. Specifically a guy named Charles, who was rude and unprofessional the whole time. I’m no electrician, but I figure I’m a smart guy. I’ll just take a look. I googled “track lights not working” and watched the first YouTube video that popped up. FOUR minutes later, I had the light working… four minutes… My contractor pitched in and we fixed every light. He also made some brackets that actually fit the wall mounted lights. So to summarize that it took Kenny Strange Electric 67 days and $5,900 to install 23 lights that weren’t mounted properly, most of which didn’t even work. While providing the most unprofessional service I’ve ever experienced. Y’all… I’ve literally worked with snitches who were more professional. Like… I’ve arrested drug dealers who had better customer service. I’ve tried to call Kenny. I’ve left messages asking him to call me. He has yet to do so. I’ve heard he’s a decent man. Perhaps he doesn’t know what’s happening, perhaps he does. I tried to give him the opportunity to talk about it before I shared our experiences. He has declined to speak to me. If any of you know him, feel free to share my information with him, or tag him. I’m a small business owner. We’re all accountable for the work we do. This is the first time I’ve ever spoken poorly of a business. But they cost me money. Period. They disrespected my wife and I. Period. I 10/10 do NOT recommend these guys for any electrical work you may ever need.

From the moment we called about the electric at my mom’s home and explained how she was elderly, hot and experiencing frequent power surges and risky/hazardous sparks, the young lady on the phone expressed how this was a serious situation and would get someone over to us right away and she did just that. Chuck and his assistant responded and figured what needed to be done without the help Of the power company as initially thought. Thank you Kenny Strange Electric for prompt & professional service ! I called to get an estimate. They didn't show up or call. So I called again, they rescheduled for the next work day. They did show up on time. I never received the estimate. I called twice to get the estimate but ever got one. I went with another company.
