Not just another "coffee shop!" The coffee is awesome, as well are the pastries! Staff is super friendly and helpful with ideas if you can't decide. Plenty of choices for every palate. Gourmet sandwiches and salads too!

One of the best coffee shops you can find and go to in Alexandria and the surrounding area. The owner and his wife are very accommodating and hospitable. The pastry is superb, if you ever been to France this will be a wonderful reminder. Today I’m having croque monsieur, which is absolutely magnificent in flavor. Highly recommended for coffee as well. Visit Grounded Coffee. It does get busy during morning hours fyi.

Twice now I’ve ordered decaf coffee from them, only to receive coffee with caffeine in them, and end up awake at 3 am from horrible stomach cramps that won’t go away , it’s currently 5 am and I haven’t slept a wink. please use a color code system or have boxes on the cups to mark DECAF so this sorta stuff stops happening. Not what I need on a work night / day Update: I contacted them to mention this and they gave me a very “not our problem” attitude and made it seem like I was asking for free coffee for a year when I simply asked them to be more careful with their labeling system.

This place is a neighborhood gem. They have great coffee and other drinks. Food is fantastic. The ambience is great as well. The owners are always warm and everyone is always ready to help. Service is great as well. Warning - there are many times when the line is long, please be patient. It will be so worth it. (I personally never waiting too long for my latte or anything else I have ordered.)
