The Franklin Dog Park has three separate fenced-in areas for dog owners to let their dogs off leash. Of the three areas, typically two will be open at a time and the third will be closed for maintenance and recovery. One area is designated for small dogs and the other for larger dogs. The park has a six foot chain link fence surrounding all sections, and there is a double gated entrance system. There are also water fountains for both dogs and people, and dog waste clean-up stations are available.

This is a self-policing facility. Owners/custodians of a dog are responsible for the acts and conduct of their animal at all times when in the park. For emergencies, call 9-1-1. For non-emergencies, call the Westmoreland County Park Police at (724) 830-3567 or (724) 830-3961.

Westmoreland County Parks reserves the right to close the Dog Park at any time for routine maintenance.

Great when it's dry, people come and go here regardless of the weather. We all have hyper dogs that need a run. If you show up and no one is there just wait 10 min. 8 degrees people come 95 degrees people come.

I absolutely love this dog park. It’s kept up very well and has lots of space for my boys to run.

It was super muddy when we were there, and apparently nobody cleans up after their dogs. It was so gross we left after 5 minutes.
