Office of Service Quality (OSQ)

The Office of Service Quality (OSQ) is tasked with providing direct responses to parents and community members regarding school concerns. The OSQ works with schools and involved stakeholders to resolve complaints.

In accordance with Florida Statute 1012.34, parents have the opportunity to provide input into the teacher and/or administrator evaluations. If a parent would like to provide input into a teacher’s evaluation, please contact one of the school’s administrators, and for an assistant principal’s evaluation, please contact the school’s principal. This input must be provided via writing or calling the school.

Parents provide input into the principal’s evaluation annually by completing the school’s stakeholder survey. Schools provide the link to this electronic survey through the school newsletter, website, and/or social media.  Principals’ supervisors use the results of the survey as they evaluate principals.

Went to a Spring Concert for the Band and was completely shocked. The actual Marching Band was amazing. But the rest of the show was inappropriate for a High School Band concert and performance. The Color guard girls were dancing like they were in a club or possibly worse if you know what I mean. I cannot believe the Principle or the teachers let this go on. Did ANYONE actually watch or approve these performances before they let them happen in front of parents, grandparents and children??? And further more, the hard work the actual band put into their performance and playing was overshadowed by the appalling behavior from the students in audience and the whatever it was the color guard and other performers where trying to accomplish. If they were going for rude and inappropriate..... Mission Accomplished!!!

Cambridge program is worth it. My son loved his teachers and was happy to be time there. Every high school has its issues. Thank you FLHS faculty and staff.

I'm supposed to be going here soon, I have a crush who goes here and it's the only reason I'm truly going, plus i need the education. I hope it's not confusing and teaches a freshman; like me, structure and responsibility. -Abbey Maingrette

If you take advantage of all the opportunities and clubs, it will be a great experience. Teachers have high expectations because they believe students need challenging experiences to grow. Fort Lauderdale High is an A school and thus, there is a lot of rigor and opportunities to take college courses (AICE and AP). Here, you can graduate will an associate's degree. The level of difficulty correlates with your drive. If you work hard, you will be successful at Fort Lauderdale. If you want your child to have an easy high school experience, I would not send them here.... at Fort Lauderdale, we strive for development and growth in knowledge..... not stagnancy.
