Just wanted to post a review and say a big thank you to Dan and his whole team!! I had a unique situation of a neighbor selling a condo unit I’ve been watching, and Dan helped me complete the purchase at lightning fast speed. He was incredibly resourceful and patient in explaining everything to me as a first time home buyer, and was always very responsive to emails and text messages. His team was also excellent in coordinating home tours for comparison before I finalized my decision. If you’re a first timer, I’d also encourage you to check out Dan’s YouTube channel, it explains the ins and outs of home buying in short clips, will definitely save you some time for research. All in all, I’m extremely grateful to have Dan guide me through this journey, and I hope to cross paths again with him in future home purchases!

Excellent first time home buying experience with Dan-Risman Jones. I'm someone who believes in building a relationship with a service provider for life's big purchases.. home, car, personal care of all sorts. I like to understand how people are motivated and what their values are. Dan from the start was direct, an excellent listener, and kind. He was excited about the anticipation for me in this process as I was. I often asked him questions that are typical of a first time home buyer, and he was always supportive, informative and even has a great sense of humor. My process went really well and even at the end when a property issue popped up because of weather before escrow closed, he worked with me to outline my options on how to think through the situation. I would highly recommend Dan and if I ever do this again - he's the first person I would call.

Despite a setback with the bank, we got the property we wanted at the price we wanted. After we got the keys, we continue to consult Dan for vendor recommendations to renovate. We worked with Dan Risman-Jones during the (surprisingly brief) amount of time it took us to search for and buy our first home in San Francisco. My husband and I pooled our resources with a friend on this first home purchase, and Dan did a great job from the outset in directing us to the right specialists to coordinate this complicated process. On our first meeting, Dan walked us through the entire process using plain language and good discretion about what we needed to know and when. Dan helped us craft a local search based on realistic pricing and other expectations unique to each specific SF neighborhood. Dan responded to communications and questions with incredible speed--usually within an hour. Dan encouraged us to view several homes during open houses to get a good feel of the market, and he possessed an enormous wealth of information about neighborhoods, other realtors, and offer strategies. Amazingly, our very first offer was accepted, but only because Dan walked us through every necessary step and was honest and candid about what we needed to do. The process took under three months from beginning to end, and we would not be in our own home today without Dan. We could not offer a higher recommendation.
