We were delighted to work with Caroll to buy our new home in Aptos. Caroll was patient as we viewed many properties and always offered valuable guidance but she did not pressure us at all. We had a wonderful experience working with Caroll! We started our search for a single family home in Santa Cruz in late July 2020. Due to COVID-19, there were not a lot of houses for sale, making for a very competitive market. The few homes that were for sale either went to people with all cash offers, or went into bidding wars. Caroll did an excellent job of getting to know us, what we wanted in a home, and what our priorities were. She took all of these factors into account and showed us a variety of options— some turnkey, some fixer uppers, and everything in between—all around Santa Cruz, including several homes that hadn't hit the market yet. We made a few offers, but we were beat out by buyers who had all cash. In December, we found a great home with lots of potential, and that had nearly everything we wanted; Caroll advised us on how to make a strong offer, even without as much cash on hand as other potential buyers. Caroll's advice worked, and we closed on our new home last week! We strongly recommend Caroll to anyone who is looking for a home in Santa Cruz—she knows the area so well, has relationships with many fellow realtors, but more importantly she listened to what we wanted, gave us realistic and useful advice, and she stayed the course through a lengthy, competitive search process!
