Carol is everything we were hoping for in a real estate agent and more. She came highly recommended and fully exceeded all our expectations. Are you looking to bring in a heavy-hitter who can solve your problems and put you at ease during the home-buying process? Then look no further than Carol and 1850 Realty. At the beginning of 2022, my partner and I found ourselves in a difficult situation with our landlord, and we were looking to purchase a house quickly in the midst of a terrible market. Everything seemed way too competitive and ridiculous because of the "new normal" in home buying that apparently, in addition to high-flying prices in North County, also necessitates waiving contingencies. As a first-time homebuyer, I am not afraid to say that navigating this process is stressful (especially for my Type A personality, which depending on who you ask is either “hands-on” or simply “annoying”). Carol was not phased. From Day 1, she had our backs and led us confidently through the process. So let’s review a few things that set her apart. First and probably most importantly, do not be fooled into thinking that the Redfin model is going to be your answer. Carol brings personalized knowledge to the table that Redfin agents simply can’t compete with. She keeps the process on track while protecting you and your earnest money at every step of the process. She sits down with you on Day 1 and makes sure that you understand the process, your budget, and what it will take to win, so you don’t find yourself mucking around with a dozen offers. We found the house that we love within a little over a week, and thanks to Carol we weren’t even the highest bidder when our offer got accepted. Well our life got pretty crazy a few months ago when our landlord decided to retire to a tropical location and needed to sell our house to fund his future. We had 60 days, in a pandemic, as first time buyers to find and buy a house in a crazy, crazy market. Carol helped us optimize our search, set up our funding and build up team that could move fast, coordinate well and execute. Thanks to Carol and Eric we were moved in to our new beautiful new digs in 45 days. I'm pretty sure Carol and Eric are just super heroes disguised in plain clothes.

I cannot recommend enough Carol Farrar on the amazing job she did as our realtor. She was on top of everything from the beginning. We met her for the first time on a Saturday and went to see the house of our dreams after the meeting. We submitted an offer that Sunday and our offer was accepted the following day! This was only possible because of Carol’s great expertise because she knew exactly the kind of offer needed to present to make the best first impression. And we apparently succeeded because a last-minute offer came after ours and outbid us, but our offer was still accepted! She guided us through all the processes within escrow making it feel painless. She was effective in her dealings with the seller and the seller’s agent on our behalf and addressed any questions or concerns we had. Once escrow closed, we were so excited to be new homeowners! And we have Carol to thank for that!
